About Vladimir
“I’ve always been fascinated with beautiful and functional objects that rely on basic principles of mechanics and geometry. My goal is to create individual pieces that are like living creatures, continually moving in slow motion and changing in space, light and color. The movements are mesmerizing and remind the viewer of the fragility and interconnectedness of life. Through my work I have discovered what many others have noticed: that precise science and art both reflect nature in a beautiful and elegant way.”
Vladimir Barsukov has worked as a scientist and taught university physics and mathematics for many years. At the same time, making mobiles has been Vladimir’s lifetime passion.
